In line with client and regulatory requirements our contaminated land risk assessment involves several key stages which we can undertake including preliminary risk assessment (PRA) together with generic and detailed quantitative risk assessments (GQRA and DQRA).

Our geotechnical investigations assess subsurface soil and rock profiles in conjunction with the proposed structural loads and development plans to determine the most appropriate geotechnical solutions for structures, roads and slopes.
LandWise Consulting offers comprehensive support for your groundworks, including geotechnical consulting during construction, quality control and assurance of earthworks, ground improvement and soil stabilization, as well as verification of foundation excavations.
Our team can provide initial desk-based mining risk assessment ahead of development, further supported by intrusive mineral investigations to confirm, or otherwise, mineral stability risk.

Andrew McGuire

With a background in geo-environmental consultancy services across the UK, Andrew has a detailed knowledge of geotechnical engineering, contaminated land assessment, and mineral legacy investigation and geo-environmental remediation.
​
He holds a BSc (Hons) in Earth Science from the University of Glasgow.
​
Outside of work, Andrew can be found out walking his rescue dog, pottering around the garden or helping his wife with her expanding culinary business.

Hugh O Leary
With a background in mining and geo-environmental consultancy, Hugh brings extensive expertise in mineral legacy investigation and remediation, geotechnical engineering, and contaminated land assessment. His career spans key roles at leading mining and geotechnical contracting and geo-environmental consultancy firms in Australia and the UK.

He holds a BSc (Hons) in Geology and an MSc in Exploration Geology from University College Cork.
​
Outside of work, Hugh enjoys hill walking, home renovation projects and spending time with his young family.
